I found a version of the quirk-checker script on the Mandriva forums - http:// forum.mandriva. com/viewtopic. php?t=106967
It seems a little outdated, and has some information that may be incorrect in it now. For example, I think HAL has been removed from Lucid, the NVIDIA and ATI drivers should support suspend, etc... And of course, it is not specific to Debian/Ubuntu. I think it may be better if we simply remove this section from the docs. If Ubuntu developers want to write something with a similar purpose, I think that would be more appropriate.
