serverguide: errors in the windows-networking document

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

While translating, I found the following problematic strings:

Once part of the domain, install the following packages:

sudo apt-get install samba smbfs smbclient

This should say something like "Once part of the domain, enter the following command in the terminal prompt:", just like in other places.

In order to join the domain the "mdns4" entry from the hosts option.

This sentence lacks something. Perhaps:
"In order to join the domain the "mdns4" entry should be removed from the hosts option."

Click Start ▸ Administrative Tools ▸ Manager Your Server.
This will open the Server Role Mangement utility.

I don't have an english Windows, but it's almost certain that this is called "Manage Your Server".

The "Add or remove a role" should be emphasized, as guilabel

The previous step was Click Next, perhaps this could be "Click Next again" to be clearer.

Click Next to \"Allow only secure dynamic updates\"

We have the same sentence twice, this does not make much sense to me...

Furthermore, this "Microsoft DNS" section contains lots of strings, that describe the UI on Windows. For consistency reasons, I'd like to see the following comment before these strings:

Translators: please check http://www.microsoft.com/language/en/us/search.mspx to see how this string is translated in Windows to your language

And the particular strings:

Click Start → Administrative Tools → Manager Your Server.
Click Add or remove a role
Select "DNS Server"
Select "Create a forward lookup zone" if it is not selected.
Make sure "This server maintains the zone" is selected and click Next.
Click Next to "Allow only secure dynamic updates"
Enter the IP for DNS servers to forward queries to, or Select "No, it should not forward queries" and click Next.
Right Click "Local Area Connection"
Double click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
Enter the Server's IP Address as the "Preferred DNS server"

These changes can be made easily in the docs. and it would also aid the translation I will go ahead and make the changes and will provide a patch really soon

Alright the changes that you suggested have been made and I am attaching a patch file. Now let's wait and see what changes Matthew and others approve :D

Vikram, can you please post a patch generated by bzr rather than diff? From the top level, simply run something like:
   bzr diff > ~/windows-networking.patch
and that will provide us with a patch I can apply to the branch. Thanks!

Vikram, thanks for the patch. It looks good, so I applied it to the Lucid dev branch, rev 407. I fixed some spacing issues in one part. For some reason the bzr patch you posted was inverted, I'm not sure what you did to generate that, but it wasn't a big problem, it just took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on. Cheers.
