The path "/etc/event.
On a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 Server, /etc/event.d/ does not exist. I am unaware of any migration implementation for an upgrade. The path may still exist for some users.

Scott, thanks for your patch! It looks good so I have applied it to the Lucid dev branch. I also changed the exec line to use "shutdown" instead of "/sbin/shutdown" since that is what shows in Karmic and Lucid now.
Finally, please don't change the status to Fix Committed when you post a patch on a bug, that is not a valid bug status for this - see https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ Status . Use Confirmed or Triaged instead. Now that the patch is committed to the bzr branch the Fix Committed status is correct. We look forward to getting more patches from you. Cheers.
