Actually, after thinking on this, I think what I really want is the ability to write some text ("UPS Package"), then select that text, and make it a link to a completely different webpage ("http://www.ups.com/whatever"). Does that make sense? I think what your original comment meant was to make it so that if you type "www.google.com" in your note, it becomes a link that you can click.
Clickable links is an improvement, but the actual item I'm wishing for is the ability to have some arbitrary text become a link to a website that is not contained in the text.

The difference I see is that some links I want to keep are long (http:// www.thriftycomp uter.com/ product/ Logitech- Quickcam- Deluxe- for-Notebooks- Webcam. html), and therefore take up lots of space on my desktop. What I'd like is "Webcam" which links to that website.
