Hi Philip ,

I can tell you it is a large number of files. But the transfer was completed
three days ago and I did check the disk amount and numbers of files.
I did upload around 780 MB of files some in small and some in big folders.

I did do the command : u1sdtool --current-transfers
It shows many files are queued up to transfer but not one has been changed
during those three days.
So mayby there is something wrong with the time attribute?

Is it possible you generate a checksum at the client and at UbuntuOne, so
when No-files are changed or add at the client and also at UbuntuOne there
is no reason for the application to start scanning and working again.
That way it will make the application so much faster.

I did try three times today and before the scanning and working was
completed the batteries of my laptop did go empty.
The batteries last for about 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
So when I did get online again the scanning was resumed again and my
baterries were empty before the scanning and working could be completed.
Tomorrow I will try again with Net-power and will check how long it will
takes.

To test I also did upload just one file ( about 200 kb ) and it is still not
updated in the cloud even I did not add or changed one other file in the
UbuntuOne folder for the last three days!

If you need more information let me know.

Greetings Roef
p.s. I do like the program so good luck to you all ;-)

Subject: [Bug 399226] Re: Applet in working mode for long time without
fileswere uploaded or changed.

Thanks for the bug report. If you run:

u1sdtool --current-transfers

it will show you what the application is currently doing/transferring.
We can then see whether it's just that you have a large number of files
that it's still dealing with queued up to transfer, or if it's some
other issue we need to look into.

Thanks!

Bug description:
After starting up my laptop the applet start first scanning and after that
it gets into the working mode. But I did not upload or change any files so I
don´t understand why the applet is after one hour still in the working
mode. Another problem is that it is consuming all the battery power by doing
that. It also is taking very much resources.
