We do indeed seem to have an embarrassment of riches here :-)

I for one subscribe to the "dry" principle so would welcome a simpler method of announcing new Upstart releases as right now it is time consuming and -- as evinced by this bug -- error prone. A few points:

- upstart.at is owned by Keybuk. I believe the intention was to move all Upstart information to upstart.at and leave upstart.ubuntu.com as an "archive" for older releases. However, this view may have changed now?

- I'm somewhat surprised that lp doesn't automatically make an announcement when a new "release" is created (this isn't dry :)
Maybe there is some way to configure a project to do this? I've raised bug 809258 anyway and have manually created an "announcement" for Upstart 1.3.

- upstart.ubuntu.com needs to by manually updated (by writing HTML - just like the good ol' days :-)

- upstart.ubuntu.com does not have all the releases - only those up to 0.6.7. newer releases are on lp only.

- upstart.ubuntu.com/wiki is out of date and has been largely subsumed by the Upstart Cookbook.

- upstart.ubuntu.com/wiki has a separate wiki to wiki.ubuntu.com as shown by the differing theme. It's unclear why this is (still?) required.

My preference would be to:

(1) Resolve the function of upstart.at.

(2) If (1) is dropped (?), maybe have upstart.ubuntu.com redirect to launchpad.net/upstart.

(3) Selectively migrate the content of upstart.ubuntu.com/wiki to wiki.ubuntu.com/Upstart/.
It needs careful editing since most of it relates to older releases, so we need to decide to either drop those parts
or retain them and mark individual sections as "Upstart 0.6.x and newer" maybe?

(4) Since all upstart releases are available on lp, remove the copies on upstart.ubuntu.com.

(5) Avoid the need to have to edit HTML by relying on LP's magical powers :-)

Comments anyone?
