[Availability]
The package is currently in universe with no deltas with Debian. The s390x version in Debian is a +b1 the change log notes that it was a binary-only upload with no source changes to rebuild against glibc (>= 2.19-9).

[Rationale]
nicstat prints network traffic statistics and is useful in understanding when network traffic is occurring, what interfaces are doing what, and how much traffic is occurring. It is a great general utility for determining network related issues as well.

There are no previous or active CVEs against the package.

The package consists of a single binary that exists in /usr/bin

[Quality assurance]
There is no configuration required and no debconf questions asked by the package. The package currently is built and ran across all release architectures.

There are a 1 bugs in the Ubuntu bug tracker [4] and 0 in the Debian bug tacker [5]. The lone issue is not related to data corruption, system crashing, or some other catastrophic issue.
