Steve, maybe it was wrong category - I wasn't shure.
When I am on desktop, after login to Ubuntu I am doing right click on network icon on the taskbar, then "Edit connection" -> Wired -> Add -> IPv4 settings, then changing from Auotmatic DHCP to Manual and I am filling forms with my details (Address, netmask, gateway, dns)
And after that I am doing system reboot .. and .. IP address is still wrong (automatically assigned) :-(
