Confirmed on multiple Ubuntu derivatives based on 16.04 on a Thinkpad T60 with Intel 3945 ABG Wireless card.

5 months since this bug was first reported here.

11 months since it was reported on askubuntu.com forums:

At this point, I'm assuming this bug won't be fixed.
