Bug Description

when I continue to put on the laptop for 2-3 days without shutting down, then the list of wifi-SSID goes away and I see no wifi icon in right-corner of menubar. Instead I see LAN icon[you know what I mean]. After sometime, internet stops working and when I try to stop the wifi using "Enable Wifi" and put back on, I can not. I then have to restart my laptop to use internet.

I though its my responsibility to report this bug. Thanks :)

This bug also affects me, only the SSID list disappears after 1 suspend.

Doesn't require suspending, but disabling and re-enabling wi-fi is just enough.

5 months since this bug was first reported here.

11 months since it was reported on askubuntu.com forums:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/789843/wired-connection-icon-is-displayed-instead-of-wifi-icon-ubuntu-16-04

At this point, I'm assuming this bug won't be fixed.
