I'm hitting what seems to be the same issue when trying to use Acrobat Reader (acroread 9.4.2-0natty1) on Ubuntu Natty 11.04 64 bit with ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu13:
Package: ia32-libs State: installed Automatically installed: yes Version: 20090808ubuntu13
and trying to open a PDF inside it leads to output like the following:
... acroread:1796): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_width: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(acroread:1796): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_height: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(acroread:1796): Gtk-WARNING **: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules/im-ibus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
(acroread:1796): Gtk-WARNING **: Loading IM context type 'ibus' failed
(acroread:1796): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_window_set_icon_list: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(acroread:1796): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_width: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed [repeats a variety of times] ...
The app starts, but can't open anything for these errors.
