The two options do seem to do what they say they do - Make the right
margin visible and also disable splitting of long words during word
wraps.
However, in almost all text editors the right margin is actually a
boundary for the word wrap. Here in gedit it is just a visual boundary
- no wrapping takes place at the right margin.

Hi,
The two options do seem to do what they say they do - Make the right
margin visible and also disable splitting of long words during word
wraps.
However, in almost all text editors the right margin is actually a
boundary for the word wrap. Here in gedit it is just a visual boundary
- no wrapping takes place at the right margin.
