I've found another buggy behaviour of Quick Search in Synaptic. Suppose you type: k3b and several packages are shown below. You click on one of those packages that are already installed in your system.
If you later come back to the Quick Search box, highlight the k3b text and press delete (in order to delete the text and make another search), while the focus and the cursor are obviously on the Quick Search box, the package you had clicked in the list below will receive the "delete" keypress and be marked for removal.
