So Inkscape STILL doesn't have color variables (i.e. user-definable named colors) yet?
That's..... very disappointing.
Surely many people would benefit from being able to change one common color used in different places by changing one value.
Just imagine, you create a big drawing with lots and lots of outlines, some of which are spread across different layers -- and then your boss comes along and tells you that they should be DARK BLUE instead of black. What do you do? Right now, you have to go to pains to hide all objects that you dont want to select, make sure you have indeed selected all the objects you want to change, then change the stroke color and hope it works like you want to.
Instead you could have defined a color named OUTLINE used by all objects to do with that. And when your boss comes over, you open your colors dialog and change the value of OUTLINE and **BAM**, all outlines are dark blue.
For programmers, this should not even require arguing, it's so obviously useful.
