Encode mkv files

Can you please open a terminal and run arista-gtk -v and try to transcode the file again? The output will be useful in debugging the issue.

I just tested with a simple mkv file and it seems to work. I did notice however that if the audio stream length is not the same as the video stream length it seems to stop transcoding. Is that the issue you seem to be experiencing? I will look into that and try to figure out why.

Well, I tried to split a part of the film, but when I did, Arista could transcode it without issues.

This looks to me like an upstream issue. Please contact the GStreamer guys!
