Branch lp:~smspillaz/compiz-core/compiz-core.fix_904806v2 fixed https:/
Newly opened apps (they start focused), get the unfocused window style, so you need to unfocus and refocus them to have the right proper style applied.
To reproduce:
1) Select Adwaita from the appearance properties (sudo apt-get install gnome-themes-
2) Open a new app, it will look unfocused until you refocus the window
