Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
This was tested on Lucid beta1.
When using the "Quit" button from the installer, the confirmation dialogue appears with the "Cancel" and "Quit" options. The main installer window remains behind the confirmation dialogue. When cancelling, the installer remains active.
However, when using the window manager quit button, the main installer window closes immediately and only the confirmation dialogue appears (as in the attached image). Clicking on the cancel button does not make the installer reappear. This happens in the cases, where:
a) the installer starts automatically when there was no user interaction on boot (i.e. not using the boot menu). In this case the system remains in an unusable state, where only the desktop appears. This is also an issue when selecting "Install Ubuntu" from the boot menu.
b) the installer is started manually from the desktop icon, when having started the live system. This is also an issue when selecting "Try Ubuntu" from the installer.
