Rework the create new file from welcome dialog

As you can see, 'Read HomeBank manual' is highlighted and clicking on it works. Clicking on any of the others results in no change - it won't move from this screen. I want to 'Create a new file' since it appears to be the way to set up an account and get started in this programme. Clicking on the 'create a new file' icon in the toolbar also brings up this panel from which I can go no further.

Actually, as well as solving this bug in your programme, you could save me time if you can answer the following question. I am curently using MSMoney on a windows-operated computer. I like it because it gives me a graph of my accounts day by day going into the future. I don't need a record of past transactions since they are all on the bank statement. I do need the future projection so as to prevent any of my accounts from going into deficit. I have changed one computer to Linux and intend to change the other but not until I replace MSMoney with a programme that gives me the fuutre projection that I need. Does HomeBank provide a future projection of daily account balbances? If not, do you know of a Linux-based programme that does?

Confirmed in 4.5.4 on Ubuntu 13.10 x64

The new file flow seems to be reworked.
Apart from this, closing this dialog and using homebank can be achieved (addaccoutn, etcà) after just closing the dialog

@David,
you confirmed this uner Ubuntu 13.10 x64, I cannot reproduce under 13.10 x32.
Even for a new user with no preference, All the 'Welcome to HomeBank' dialog buttons are useable, so what's wrong exaclty ?

I'm afraid that I can no longer confirm it... it all seems to be working now, how strange

One observation that I have made though is that when you click on "Create a new file" it creates on in the background, but the "Welcome to HomeBank" dialog still stays open, which could be mistaken for it not doing anything.

Maybe it would be better to close the dialog once a new file has been created, or even better, a wizard to help people set up accounts and categories etc

Anyway, I checked again and found no pb here.
I just re-activated the new file assistant, that was no more active into the code with no apparent reason.

Sounds great. What do I do now? Unistall and download anew?

You can view the progress of 4.6 here - https://launchpad.net/homebank/+milestone/4.6

It will be available on the website once finished, although you may have to compile it first. If you want it in your distro's packages so you can apt-get upgrade to it, you'll have to speak to them

You don't need to wait for v4.6, as I did not fix anything special here.
Once you have the welcome dialog, just close it, you will be able to use homebank normally.
