The reason for these runs are that all Qt apps get a dependency (from Qt symbol files) on for example libqt5gui5 | libqt5gui5-gles so that the Qt stack - GL or GLES - can be changed on the fly on x86. So Qt applications that depend on libqt5gui5 (virtually all of them) tend to have alternative dependency on libqt5gui5-gles. However libqt5gui5-gles is not available on other than amd64 or i386.
Here is a test being executed on a reverse dependency of qtbase- opensource- src-gles https:/ /objectstorage. prodstack4- 5.canonical. com/v1/ AUTH_77e2ada1e7 a84929a74ba3b87 153c0ac/ autopkgtest- zesty-ci- train-ppa- service- 1985/zesty/ ppc64el/ k/kdepim- addons/ 20170105_ 202155_ b62b2@/ log.gz
