Given Jim's recent component registry refactoring, a recent use highlighted for me that setSite conflates two concepts: something like "setLocalRegistry" and "setApplicationHome" (or perhaps, if the name were not now overloaded, "setSite"). The usefulness of the first is hopefully obvious. The second is different--we sometimes getSite to find the root location of an app and navigate out; it is often reasonable to tie this concept to the local registry, as it is now, but not always.
