Comment 53 for bug 90261

me, the same problem on XUbuntu 8.10, amd64. the last update i've done was few days ago, the problem occurred today, so i don't think it's an update thing. the different error messages compared to plutino's are:

** (xfce4-places-plugin:3143): CRITICAL **: xfce_panel_plugin_get_orientation: assertion `XFCE_IS_PANEL_PLUGIN (plugin)' failed

i took these errors from the stdout, starting xfce4-panel from the command line.
