I am trying hard to welcome all contributions to Woof. The Open-Source community is a vast space so that I'm grateful for any help that people give to this project.

That being said: your comment is discouraging for me or any other person working on the Woof project. Commenting that we've made errors that could have been prevented if we only knew "basic stuff" is rude and in disregard of what we already have accomplished.

The reason why we haven't distributed Woof as a .deb-file yet is simply because none of our team are currently able to package Debian files. Furthermore, the install-script "ignores" the trayicon-scripts because they are nothing but code-examples so that whoever wants to help Woof get that tray-icon does not have to start at square one. Both the reasons for the lack of a .deb-file and the trayicon-scripts would have been apparent to you if you had read through the other bug-reports, their respective comments and the revision-notes.

I am glad that you think that Woof has the potential to be exceptionally useful - I think so, too! I'd be even more glad if you would use your skills in package-management to get Woof the .deb-file and PPA it deserves. I happily invite you to become a valued member of the Woof development-team!
