Thanks for taking your time to report this issue.

The attached save game runs slow here too. I noticed the fps catch up when pausing the so it might be processing/AI which is the bottleneck (just speculation, so someone should take a look at it with a profiler).

I wasn't able to trigger the crash mentioned though. Could you please run Widelands in a terminal and attach the error message (if any) printed when the crash occurs? (Or attach a gdb backtrace?)
