now RTL works in kde/konsole beautifully, with shaping and everything, so I'm not sure how problems mentioned in #46 are handeled there, and I'm sure its not perfect either, but works better than BiCon for example but if softwares have been using functions to count characters to know width, maybe *that* is broken, and language specific functions should be replaced with language agnostic functions ...
