After a discussion with Marco, it seems that this bug is not fixed by the unity SRU that has been prepared.

The reason is that a unity fix itself is not sufficient to fix this issue without breaking ibus support. A change in nux is also required. The committed nux fix is not easily-portable to lp:nux/2.0 for an SRU since currently it breaks ABI/API - which is what we don't want for a stable release. I have been informed that a partial fix for nux can be compiled soon, but we'll take care of it later as the issue is not a serious one.

Just noting - as the submitted fix does not introduce any regressions, I am setting verification-done for this bug. It will be reopened once the SRU is published to -updates.
