I already opened a bug, it was flagged as a duplicate of this one. Basically the symptoms are the wireless interface disappears as if it never existed. The network configuration icon on the toolbar reports dial up and wired ethernet interfaces only, the wireless interface simply vanished without a trace. Any more tests you want me do to with the laptop, or if you want to test a workaround let me know and I will post the results here. This is the sole remaining gutsy showstopper I am facing.
