I downloaded the libimobiledevice2_1.1.1-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb from http://ppa.launchpad.net/popey/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/libi/libimobiledevice/libimobiledevice2_1.1.1-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb .

It works fine with 11.10 final and ios5 final in iphone 3gs!
