Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. this bug still happens, even on Wayland. My screen resolution is also 1366x768, so i guess it really is a resolution problem.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open drawer menu (The one with 9 dots)
2. Open any folder
3. Click outside the folder or press the escape key (esc)
Workarounds:
1. Use dconf editor and set /org/gnome/shell/extensions/dash-to-dock/extend-height to false (Rson, comment #25)
2. setting org.gnome.desktop.privacy remember-app-usage to false (Kevin Keijzer, comment #33)
