Is there any way to cope with youtube-dl being a volatile package? I would like to be able to update this package, as soon as things stop working (as you can see with my uploads to Debian proper).

Any hints to make this speedier are welcome. I wouldn't like to be with my hands tied and feeling impotent for fixing trivial stuff.
