I've attached some screenshots of minimal GtkHeaderBar-less GTK3 and GTK4 apps taken with different combinations of GTK_CSD and GDK_BACKEND.

With explicitly created GtkHeaderBars, all those cases are fine with both GTK3 and GTK4.
