siriusnova, have to tried disabling the MergedFB & dropping the colour depth to 16bit?

it hasnt completey solved the problem but does seem to change the lockups from every two hours to more like once every two weeks, which at least has made my system useable. i too have tried all the hints and tips on this thread (and even removed all modules from xorg) still to no avail .... the lockups still occur :(

let me know if anyone finds a real solution.
