Well, look no further, this is your issue. I tried using the modesetting driver and got absolute garbage out. Stale rendering, extreme slowness. Why didn't I think of this before...
Anyway, will try to see if I can fix this issue. Seems like I will have a happy time in glamor and mesa's code tomorrow.
