Not sure how wise it is to use a BIOS tool through wine but it may at least provide info about current version.
I can confirm this problem.
In the terminal I get:
err:ole:TLB_ReadTypeLib Loading of typelib L"C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\InstallShield\\Professional\\RunTime\\IsProBE.tlb" failed with error 2
