Since upgrading to oneiric I find that gvim is ridiculously unresponsive, and that it goes grey for several seconds at a time. I do not have this problem running vim in a terminal. I have a rather customized configuration, so I will try to attach my configs next.
It seems to depend on what my first keystroke is. If I gvim a file and hit 'j' first, it goes grey and does this for every keystroke I hit. If I instead hit 't' and then a character on the line, everything appears fine and I can hjkl around without trouble.
