Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
Like the previous commenter, I'm curious how this problem occurs since viking starts without any problems, and I don't even seem to have libmapnik installed:
$ apt-cache policy libmapnik*
libmapnik2-dev:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: (none)
Version table:
libmapnik3.0:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 3.0.9+ds-1
Version table:
3.0.9+ds-1 500
500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages
libmapnik-dev:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 3.0.9+ds-1
Version table:
3.0.9+ds-1 500
500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages
Could you please check whether you some additional plugins or extra information which would explain why it complains about libmapnik. Also could you please run the following command to automatically gather debugging information for this issue, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1539405
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
