It is weird.

On the installed Intrepid I switched off splash option immediately after install (few days back), because I could not get xsession running. Without splash option system booted and worked like a charm.

Now, I've put back a splash option and I can not reproduce the behavior consistently: sometimes system boots till the gdm login screen, sometimes it is not (out of 10 or so reboots).

So, the bug is not about live session and is not about alpha4 anymore...
