Yes, unfortunately that's all I get if I run the command you posted.
Do you want me to run something like strace update-notifier 2>u-n.log? I get a
host of output that way but I fear it's to much to post here.
I also don't get anything on the terminal when I start update-notifier there, no
error message whatsoever, but it is reproducible, that is if I kill it and start
it again the cpu will be used 100% again.
