I can confirm this issue. I was thrown completely off track here. I didn't guess that I had to press 'q' at all. Also, when I clicked on the terminal widget (to look at the differences) and then clicked on the 'Modified configuration file dialog' again, the rendering of that dialog became quirky (no "redraw" or something?), and I couldn't choose anything in the dialog anymore. I opened another shell and ran 'ps ax | grep debconf' and noticed that debconf was still running. Since the upgrade process was stuck, I simply killed the debconf process. I got an error message that nfs-kernel-server could not be installed and that I should report the bug, which I did. ;-)
