This issues has been reported with a Dell Latitude E6320. I have also confirmed this same behavior happens with an IBM x201.
This issue happens hile using an external monitor, either directly attached to a laptop, or through a docking station. If windows/applications are opened in multiple workspaces on the external monitor, they do not stay in the proper workspace if the external monitor is disconnected. This is also true if the laptop is removed from the docking station.
How to reproduce:
- Attach an external monitor either directly or using a docking station.
- Open multiple windows on the external monitor, and in separate workspaces.
- Disconnect the external monitor or remove the laptop from the docking station.
- The windows/applications are now in different workspaces or actually across multiple workspaces.
