I hope there will be a solution for the next release, cause the way it is now, NEARLY ALL unexperienced users get stuck. (a very suiting and funny description here by Matteo Settenvini: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1007543)

If there are unsolveable config-file changes the upgrade progress shouldn't even start, for not to leave the system in a broken state.
