Comment 13 for bug 269082

http://osdir.com/ml/linux.ubuntu.user.edubuntu/2007-12/msg00182.html says that there may be a sound connection. Are people running with sound on or off, and does it make a difference.

These reports go back to feisty, and yet no-one actually filed a bug so we didn't know.
