Indeed, I've just downloaded 91.3.2 from thunderbird.net, dropped it in place as `/usr/lib/thunderbird` and copied across Ubuntu's `thunderbird.sh` start-up script.

The problems with drop-down menus are *still present*.
So 91.3.2 *does* **NOT** fix the issue.
