I decided to re-try the 'Message filters' and 'search messages' using a custom header on my imap account.
I retried it by trying to label emails by the header "X-Bugzilla-Product: Core" and mark them as 'Important' i.e. make them appear red.
I did this on email already in my Inbox and subfolders.
Hey, this works with TB 1.5.0.12 on Windows 2K sp4!
Searching with a custom header using the above header also appears to be working now.
So someone appears to have fixed it and not informed this thread? :-)
This has made my day!
Now if only some smart programmer can make TB upload all its settings, spam filter, etc. into my IMAP account so I can have a truly portable Thunderbird?
