This bug has been discussed as part of Bug 256429. I found that it is caused by revision 116 in the thinkfinger code, and have fixed it locally.

Hopefully, we can get Jon's HAL workaround (in his PPA code) + reverting r116 promoted into Intrepid and Jaunty. I have raised this in Bug 256429.
