Bug Description
Hi,
/usr/share/
OnlyShowIn=Unity;
I only wanted to remind you that Unity is not the only desktop environments whose users would like to configure printers. And also, that Unity is not the only gtk based desktop environment in the Ubuntu archive (I know, this seems unlikely, but believe me, it's true, there's something called "universe", and there are several packages in there ;-).
I can't really understand what you tried to achieve with this OnlyShowIn (not show it in GNOME? KDE? -- in such cases, NotShowIn was more appropriate), but this looks rather wrong. Now it's probably impossible to add printers using Xubuntu...
Please fix it.
Thanks.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
I can confirm that Xubuntu no longer has any method available to easily add any printer. Please change the .desktop file as soon as possible to allow users to have their printers again. Since this recent change in Oneiric, all printers disappeared for Xubuntu users.
Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
