I should clarify that rather than a bug with Unity, I really mean a counter intuitive means of displaying the menus for an application for anyone who's never used OSX...

I honestly would not have thought of having to move my mouse to the top of the screen to unhide hidden menus for a window at the lower end of my display... :(
