I have a similar problem using example code from the Ruby-Gnome2 website.
ro@rtablet:~/ruby/gnome/rubyzilla$ dpkg -l |grep mozembed ii libgtk-mozembed-ruby 0.19.3-1ubuntu3 ruby binding of GtkMozEmbed, gecko renderer ii libgtk-mozembed-ruby1.8 0.19.3-1ubuntu3 ruby binding of GtkMozEmbed, gecko renderer ii libgtk-mozembed-ruby1.8-dbg 0.19.3-1ubuntu3 ruby binding of GtkMozEmbed, gecko renderer ro@rtablet:~/ruby/gnome/rubyzilla$ ./rubyzilla.rb /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i486-linux/gtkmozembed.so: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.8.7 (2010-01-10 patchlevel 249) [i486-linux]
Aborted
Problem did not occur in Hardy, or Karmic, but does occur in Lucid. I'm not exactly certain what the problem is :(
