I have just dist. upgraded from 11.04 (Kubuntu, with gnome and unity too) and when installed manually resolvconf:
$ sudo apt-get install resolvconf
(.....)
Setting up resolvconf (1.48ubuntu1) ...
mkdir: created directory `/etc/resolvconf/run'
mkdir: created directory `/etc/resolvconf/run/interface'
update-rc.d: warning: resolvconf stop runlevel arguments (none) do not match LSB Default-Stop values (0 6)
$
The bug persists in Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric.
