lastfm + pulseaudio generate choppy sound

Bug Description
Running lastfm with a "default PCM" device as output generates choppy sound after a few songs.
Disabling pulseaudio and using ALSA directly solves the issue completely.
Stopping & starting lastfm again also makes it work for a few songs.
