I used cut&paste to copy an URL into a pidging window containing a chat using the SIP: protocol.
I then manually edited the URL, and pressed return
Several tests with the receiver of the message showed that the subsequent manuel edits to the URL are being discarded
Example:
Cut&past of
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/kinderpornografie-ermittler-das-zeug-wird-immer-extremer-1.1133433
to the SIP chat,
remove "-1.1133433", press return.
My own window shows:
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/kinderpornografie-ermittler-das-zeug-wird-immer-extremer
the receiver still gets:
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/kinderpornografie-ermittler-das-zeug-wird-immer-extremer-1.1133433
This ONLY happens via SIP:, switching to a jabber transport works jst fine.
